MGF Dosing Protocol: Mechano Growth Factor Guide
Also known as: Mechano Growth Factor, IGF-1Ec, PEG-MGF
What is a Peptide?
A short chain of amino acids (2-50) linked by peptide bonds. Smaller than proteins. Your body produces thousands of peptides naturally as signaling molecules that regulate everything from appetite to healing. Therapeutic peptides mimic or enhance these natural signals.
Research reference only. MGF is not FDA approved for human use (unless specified above). This information does not constitute medical advice.
Overview
MGF is a splice variant of IGF-1 produced locally in muscle in response to mechanical stress/exercise. It triggers muscle stem cell activation and hypertrophy.
Mechanisms of Action
- Activates muscle stem cells (satellite cells)
- Promotes muscle cell proliferation and differentiation
- Local autocrine/paracrine action in muscle
- Enhances muscle repair after injury
